What We Feel You Should Know About Purchasing Insurance

At McGill Family Practice P.C., we recognize the economic difficulty of planning for illness and the high cost of even routine care.

We encourage anyone who is able to afford health insurance to purchase insurance, even if it is only for emergencies, as few things can devastate a household as an accident or serious illness.

We try to accept all insurance plans and will try to work with you to contain your health care costs to a range comfortable for you.

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to speak with us directly.

We Accept the Following Insurance Plans

It is your responsibility to know your insurance responsibility and limitations.
Please contact your insurance company to verify and confirm that McGill
Family Practice and its Providers are IN-NETWORK. Then call us to let us know.

How much will my visit cost?

Patients using insurance should determine if their plan has co-pay. If so, you can expect this co-pay to apply for your visit. If you have not met your annual deductible or if any portion of your visit is not covered by your insurance plan, you may receive a statement in the mail. Please call your insurance provider if you have questions regarding your coverage. For patients who do not wish to use insurance but would prefer to pay out of pocket for services, payment will be requested at the time of your visit.

If you do not have a co-pay, you may be required to secure a deposit upon your visit.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We are constantly striving to reach our goal of providing individuals and families with compassionate, quality healthcare at an affordable price. With most ER visits exceeding $500 and the national average for an Urgent Care visit being $225, we offer an exceptional value with many of our cash paying visits starting at $125 (more extensive visits, lab, x-ray and treatments are additional).

How can I prepare for the cost of my visit?

We recommend that you contact your insurance company prior to visiting any of our clinics to verify coverage of the specific service you are seeking, as well as any co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles. Confirming this information in advance will help you avoid unforeseen charges.

How do I verify my insurance plan?

If you do not know how to verify your insurance, we recommend you call the number listed on the back of your card.

If you are having trouble or your insurance office is closed, please contact the clinic nearest you for further assistance.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check and most major credit cards. Please contact the clinic directly for further questions.
